Community Christmas

Please help us make Christmas awesome for local children

Please join The Bike Shoppe in supporting OWCAP’s Community Christmas.  Together we'll be able to help hundreds of local families living in poverty. We like that 100% of the proceeds go directly to the event and the families!  All OWCAP personnel are volunteers.

Community Christmas welcomes local Weber and Davis county families who are not able to receive help from other Christmas assistance programs.  They are either homeless, refugees, low-income, or in a crisis situation.

Here's how you can help:

  1. Come to The Bike Shoppe and select a paper ornament from our Giving Tree.
  2. Purchase some (or all) of the suggested items listed on the ornament.
  3. Attach the paper ornament to your gifts and return them unwrapped to The Bike Shoppe before December 7.

Here are some ideas for new items for children (infant to 18 yrs):

  • Baby wipes, diapers, and pull-ups
  • Infant/children's hygiene items (diaper rash cream, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, lotion/hair brushes, etc.)
  • Winter blankets
  • Princess or super hero anything are popular with the younger children; older children like Star Wars, Ever After High, Make-up, Slime kits, etc.
  • Striders running bikes
  • Legos, blocks, building toys
  • Art supplies, science kits, books, educational toys
  • Winter gear (hats, gloves, scarves, boots, coats, snow suits)
